


Jen Lewis-Walden, Lead Collaborator
Jen's work advances innovative community-institution partnerships to cultivate more equitable, healthy communities. Jen couples practitioner experience with a genuine love of exploring ideas and bridging connections to make values-forward work come to life. Their work centers equitable, transformational processes and opportunities for community stakeholders to envision and create improved health outcomes together.
Jen (they/them/she/her) is a strategist, Healing-Centered coach, and health equity leader. They have held roles across diverse disciplines – including public health, healthcare, environment, education, housing – as well as public, private and philanthropic sectors.
Jen serves as a member of the Leadership Team of Shift Health Accelerator, a national network of leaders committed to community-led change as a pathway to accelerate health and racial equity. They have served as a Visiting Practitioner with BARHII, a Senior Consultant with Advancing Health Equity, an Affiliate Consultant with Multiplier Advisors, and advisory services co-lead with Build Healthy Places Network. Jen also serves as a coach for Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Power-building and Engagement initiative and for the BETA project.
Jen has served as a Senior Fellow for Data Strategies with the Blue Shield of California Foundation and as Special Projects Director for the Sonoma County (CA) Department of Health Services. They coordinated a backbone team for Sonoma Health Action, which was a ReThink Health Ventures site and is now a California Accountable Communities for Health site.
Jen holds Master’s degrees in Environmental Management (MEM) and International Relations (MA) from Yale University, and a BA in Biology from Bryn Mawr College. Jen holds a Certificate in Business Excellence through the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business Executive Education program and was a Culture of Health Leader with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. They are completing their ICF Healing-Centered Coaching Certification from Blooming Willow. Jen and their wife Peg are golf enthusiasts and enjoy spending time with their many animals who all hold special superpowers.
